I have a lot more images to share than I have days left before deadlines to share them, so I might add a few more each day. The unfinished guy is Larry Parks. Aside from just liking a little bit of colour on this piece, there's another reason I left it- I'm going to layer lots of pieces over each other for one part of my degree show and I think that it'll be really interesting to have some layers showing through from underneath. I've also decided to do a few pieces from actual religious icons, in the same style as the others and that way they can all merge into each other and obscure the images.

Today's post is a small tribute to Jane Russell who just passed away. I did this portrait a while ago after deciding that I would also include film stars who are still alive. I suppose the problem with using subjects from that era is that they are getting older now and chances are a few of them will pass away while I do this project. Anyway, here's a nice quote I found that I think sums up Jane Russell's attitude nicely:
